Hello friends, and welcome to my world,
I'm Cassandra, but you can call me Cassie, or Cass, whatever your like.
I am a 23 year old French girl ( so I'll hope you'll forgive my sometimes awkward phrasing and grammar in English! ) and I live the French Alps at the moment. I've moved countless times during my life but I still haven't found the one place that would be perfect for me. I was born in Amsterdam and have lived mostly in various regions or France, but also in Australia for about 3 years and I've been staying in London at least a month a year since I was a kid and it holds a very special place in my heart. I like my weather cold and preferably sunny though I'm happy to walk in the rain and love snow more than anything. So I think it's safe to say I will settle somewhere in a cold country and not on a tropical island. ^_^ I'm flying to New-York next month to visit a few schools ( looking to go into Journalism, specifically Music Journalism ) in the area, and I'm hoping that maybe I can find my home in the USA. I'm pretty sure I will end up in an English-speaking country anyway, I love to speak and hear English and I miss it very much here in France.
I also love history, litterature and art, and I adore going to all the beautiful museums in London and Paris ( museums are pretty much the only thing that would encourage me to ever set foot in Paris, if it didn't have the Louvre and Versailles I would never go there, I hate the place )! Yes I'm geeky and I freely admit it. You can all stop pointing now.

I am, like I said, French, but I'm more of an English girl at heart. I love the country, and I live for the Beatles. I cannot go trhough the day without listening to one of their songs. These four guys have litterally changed my life and I love them so very much. I love any good old English music, from Clapton to the Sex Pistols, but as for their newer stuff most of it is a little too poppy for my tastes so I'm more into the American scene.
After the Beatles, my absolute musical love has to be Green Day. I actually believe that Billie Joe, just like John Lennon before him, is the voice of his generation. He opens his mouth when everybody else shuts up and sit in the corner singing meaningless songs, just like John did. And you can tell these guys truly love the music. It's gotta be about the music when you're in a band, otherwise you're just a bunch of jerks making money out of people not smart enough to know good music from crap and making my ears hurt all at the same time. No thanks.
And finally, the third love of my life are My Chemical Romance. I love that they have their very own, unique style, I love their energy and how their songs speak to me. The way they work together is just impressive, I mean there's five of them but there's a definite unity there.
Music is at the very center of my world. I could not go on without it. And I truly do believe it can save the world, one person at a time. If it can save people like it saved me, then maybe we won't all turn out so bad after all.

What am I like?
Well, I'm often told I'm a walking contradiction. I like blood and fluffy kittens. Black and pink. I'm mean and I'm lovely. I'm everything that shouldn't work together but somehow I make it work to fit my twisted mind.
My personal style reflects that I guess, I go from tomboy to girly girl, but most of the time my inner rock chick stands out. I'm a big fan of anything 60's, and that includes fashion. My trademark has to be long straight hair with heavy fringe, Converse sneakers and black. That's me most days, but I might surprise you with a bright pink dress, who knows. I just really try to have fun in every area of my life and clothes can be made fun ^_^ I'm also a self-confessed hair-dye addict, I don't know why my hair hasn't rebelled yet, if I was my hair, I would have handed out my resignation a long time ago. Hair is currently purple on the top and blue underneath. I've had this color for an impressively long time, I usually get bored with my color pretty quickly and want to change it. I might be on the right track to recovery, lol.
I can be boyish, I swear a lot, drink lots of beer ( I know, bad! But I don't smoke, don't do drugs, etc... Anyway music is so much better than crack! Lol ) and I'm not exactly graceful, but I have this girly side to me too, I love glittery pink things, love to dress up, have a major sweet tooth, love Disney movies and have all these ridiculous ideas about true love.

About me? I'm a very sensitive person. As in moody. I'm prone to serious mood swings, tantrums and tear breakouts ( or laughing fits, depending on my mood, lol ). I try so hard not to let get my emotions get the better of me but most of the time I can't control it. I do have horrible, horrible scary mood swings and I swear a lot, but mostly I'm a friendly and open person. ^_^
I'm highly individualistic, and I try my hardest to stay true to myself, whether that means going with the flow or standing out. I have my beliefs and values, and they're here to stay. Some very proper, some a little more out there. I've tried for many years to please everyone else but myself by being this person they wanted me to be. It's all changed now, and I couldn't be happier.

Could we be friends?
Whatever's your thing is fine by me, the most important thing is to be honest in what you love and stay true to yourself. Don't try to like something just to please me, I respect people who can make up their own minds and who have an opinion, but please respect the stuff that I like, I don't want anyone telling me that Green Day sucks or that I should stop watching some Disney and grow up.
I value honesty, tolerance and an open-minded nature. I believe in love, respect and equality, in gay rights and that skin color don't matter. If you don't believe in all of this, then please take your uptight ass somewhere else.

Favorites:
♥ Colors: black, red, dark purple, midnight blue, silver. And yes, I love pink.
♥ Foods: sushi, pasta, cheese, tomato soup ( I don't know why, I just really really love tomato soup lol), shrimp, lots of lemon with everything. I drink lots of tea and have a serious addiction to chai lattes and coffee ( steaming hot please! ). My number one guilty pleasure is tiramisu, OMFG. *drool*
♥ Music: I like a lot of things, but I mostly listen to Punk, Rock and well, Punk-Rock. Lol. Beatles, Green Day, MCR, Bob Dylan, Against Me, Rise Against, The Clash, Sex Pistols, Clapton, Ramones, Nightwish, Goldfinger, Bad Religion, Evanescence, etc.... I could go on for days.
♥ Movies : Marie Antoinette, all Lord of the Rings, all Harry Potters, Ever After, anything Disney especially Beauty and the Beast... I adore fantasy or historical movies. I also watch lots of music documentaries and I'll watch anything in which Michael Moore is involved.
♥ Books : anything by David Eddings or Robin Hobb. Of course I worship the Harry Potter series. Love Stephen King too. I love Marion Zimmer Bradley's Mists of Avalon series, I also love vampire stories like Dracula or more recently The Historian. As with films, lots of fantasy or historical fiction, some horror as well. I read lots of music related books. And of course anything written by Michael Moore. I'm reading Stupid White Men at the moment.
